Keep this one handy in your First Aid Cabinet. Apply at the first sign of bruising or immediately after an injury to help reduce inflammation and subsequent bruising.  Use caution or avoid open skin. 

This blend uses an oil blend of Arnica with Almond, Jojoba, and Vitamin E with several drops of Lavender, Helichrysum, Wormwood, and Frankincense  essential oils to step it up a notch and support the body even more. These are all oils that are good for quickly dissolving bruising and reducing inflammation. 

People most commonly use arnica for discomforts caused by osteoarthritis, so try it on that as well.  It is also used for bleeding, bruising, swelling after surgery, and other conditions, but unfortunately, there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.  However, generations of users use it anyway because they know it works!

How these oils are supporting you:   Lavender when used soon after injury or post-injury can reduce bruising appearance. Helichrysum is also called everlasting flower, is often used for bruises.  A 2013 review found Helichrysum to have anti-bruising properties. If quickly applied, the essential oil reduces bruise size and appearance. It also soothes inflammation. Frankincense helps in reducing bruise appearance and size more quickly. Its anti-inflammatory qualities can help relieve discomfort as well.  Wormwood is used around the world for hurts and wounds. In many cultures, the plant is quite effective for relieving the more distressing aspects of bruising.
